European Sales Manager

Salary: Salary in the region of 55K – 65K
Location: Bedfordshire but also willing to look at candidates living in Germany or Italy

Due to company growth our client is looking to recruit for a newly created role and requires an outstanding individual who will be able to further grow their business directly with major European retailers and also through distributors. This position will be working with retailers and distributors in France, Spain and Italy whilst also being able to identify and develop new business within other European countries.

Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining strong working relationships with both new and existing clients, increasing gross profits by strategically managing product mix and pricing, business analysis and developing, presenting and managing short and long term business plans and objectives. You will be attending and participating in key retail, consumer trade show where necessary and ensure that you are consistent up dating your knowledge of your market and competitors activities.

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate a successful proven track record in European Sales and account management within consumer packaged goods. It is essential that you are fluent in English and French and it would be a distinct advantage should you also speak Italian and Spanish. Our client requires the successful candidate to have had established relationship with European retailers such as TRU, Carrefour, Aubert and Auchan and you must be comfortable with extensive European travel. A confident communicator with strong presentation and negotiations will be necessary as will the ability to build rapport quickly and develop strong, long term business relationships.
