Category Strategy Manager

Salary: 60K – 70K + car and outstanding benefits

Our client is actively looking to recruit and experienced Category Strategy Manager to lead the development of their category strategies and their delivery into customers ensuring that they meet shopper and customer’s needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead development and ongoing refreshment of ‘thought leading’ Oriental and Indian World Foods Category Visions/Strategies and ‘Go to Market’ toolbox including fact books and Customer engagement materials
• Develop and lead implementation of a Customer Category engagement programme
• Manage and develop one direct report
• Develop a relevant network of key external customer and industry contacts.
• Contribute to NPD project teams to ensure Category issues and opportunities are considered from the earliest stage.

To be considered for this role you must be educated to degree level, have a excellent track record within FMCG or Retailer business, ideally as a Category Manager and also have had experience in either retail buying or National Accounts. You will be able to demonstrate effective management skills, have the ability to prioritise your workload in order to meet necessary deadlines and have a high level of numeracy with excellent attention to detail.
